Leader's Wellbeing ...
Managing personal energy in the age of the technological industrial revolution is becoming a key challenge for today’s knowledge worker. The digital reality in which business operates encounters the fundamental challenge of the analogue processes that guide our behaviour. These, in turn, are largely determined by emotional patterns formed over the years.
According to Daniel Goleman, creator of the model of ‘Emotional Intelligence in Business’, the foundation for lasting personal change is the expansion of the area of Self-Awareness, thanks to which a person not only starts to notice in the surrounding environment, hitherto unseen, opportunities and possibilities, but also discovers in himself the resources thanks to which, through the development in the area of Self-Control, he can make concrete changes in his personal and professional life.
For this reason, we recommend that the workshop session is built on David Kolb’s learning model. To this end, participants will be invited to take part in a game or exercise, during which they will be confronted with challenges that test their existing patterns. The results obtained, which are a consequence of the behaviours demonstrated and decisions made, will be reflected upon and discussed in a forum. Each workshop module will be summarised based on a theoretical model and a workshop to develop new ones or adaptations.
In the column opposite, we outline the content of the one-day workshop, which will aim to build awareness among participants of the impact of personal patterns of functioning in a professional environment on the long-term consequences for the body, discuss the phenomenon of stress and develop a personal change programme.
. These, in turn, are largely determined by emotional patterns formed over the years.
